Logic Assist app for iPhone and iPad

If you like solving logic puzzles, LogicAssist is the app for you. Note that it doesn’t solve the puzzle for you, but it will “assist” you and hopefully make it more fun.

We are shipping with just a few pre-made puzzles but we plan to add more later. However, we have created a complete Puzzle Designer system where you can create your own puzzles or enter any you find in a magazine or some other source. All you really need to type in are the clues and the category text.

Based on those clues and category text, LogicAssist will create the perfectly-sized game grid where you can tap in your deductions. A single tap for an X and a double tap for a Dot.

The “assist” comes in the form of some cascading X’s and Dots. The app will do the cross-referencing for you so you don’t miss anything. Just one level, though, there’s no real logic being done by the app - that’s up to you! Another “assist” is the filling in of a row or column with X’s when you place a Dot or the placing of a Dot when you leave a row or column with only one non-X spot.

The biggest “assist” may be the undo/redo feature. IMHO, this may be worth the price of admission right here. You can “undo” all the way back to your starting point and all taps in between. Even if you leave and play a different puzzle, when you come back, the undo stack is still intact.

LogicAssist keeps track of all your games, whether they are still in progress or finished. And you can have multiple games for the same puzzle which allows you to play puzzles more than once. Or hand your iPad to someone else and let them try the same puzzle (but as a new “game”.)
